Some are upset that it's not as audacious as, say, Interlude, but I wonder if we're trying to limit the brand's creative license in always expecting a loud, ostentatious perfume from Amouage. Grapefruit and mandarin merge with elemi resin, cardamom, and pepper in the opening, reminding me of Lalique pour Homme (1997), but with a sour touch and slight dry pop of petitgrain. Ubar is a stunner that is much more complex, nuanced, floral, and rich (not to mention nuclear in projection), but Beloved Man felt like a riff on one of Ubar’s prettiest features. In the opening there's a good amount of grapefruit, cardamom and elemi, and it rounds out to a pretty rich smooth woody scent.

There is nothing… Nothing more off putting related to the way a fragrance may smell… Than, “old man fart smell.Beloved Man gestures noticeably at that dry savouriness, but adds a mild sweetness, citrus elements, and florals to bring that note to life in a way that GPH never could. But especially those who are looking for a beautiful summer fragrance with a long shelf life, for whom a Sunshine Man might be too heavy and not refreshing enough, might find what they are looking for here.

Unfortunately what turns me off to it slightly is the "stinky fruit" or "stale fruit" effect that I receive from it. This intimate fragrance with its selection of rich woods and resins in the base enrapture the wearer in a comforting sensation of warmth that these treasured memories bring”. I have not much good to say about this and i don,t feel the effort or interesse to give the words and this scent some extra time. GPH is darker and more linear, a more one-note incense scent that remains dry and slightly savoury through its life.However, Reflection Man does a similar job in the fresh-creamy-citrus-floral department and is cheaper and (probably) slightly better.

The special edition Beloved for Men by Amouage is a woody Oriental fragrance with spicy top notes accentuated by an opulent heart of floral notes. I found this accord in JPG's Le Male too surprisingly which also smells like urinal cake detergent to me, and people seem to love Le Male too and I'm alone in disliking). Questo è un profumo misterioso, che non assomiglia a nessun altro e nello stesso momento richiama i ricordi di tanti profumi.It was a great experience to me when Christopher Chong, Creative Director of Amouage, presented Beloved Man at it's first global launch in Hong Kong to the attendees with simple words and strips of mouilette freshly sprayed with this fragrance. Comparing Beloved to some disgner perfumes is Sacrileg since this has the Amouge signature all around it. First smell, reminds of Guerlain approach to hodgepodge of notes except less powdery, more accessible.

There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. As a whole, though, Beloved is a seamless blend of the two faces of elemi, and the fragrance’s main characteristic for a good portion of its opening hours is creaminess. i felt good with it and gave me positive energy with a calming smell but please dont overspray this one or the whole room smells like it. IMO it is as if Reflection Man, Darley, and Dia Man danced the Beloved night away----voila, Beloved Man!To give up my need to be in control all the time, and be a strong woman all the time, knowing,not in my head, and not even in my heart but deep, deep in my gut that I can trust that man and therefore become a woman who is comfortable when being taken care of. Great to see Amouage changing tack a little from bewilderingly complex fragrances with lots of spice and quite frankly odd juxtapositions. It also becomes more sedate and less intrusive over the hours, so that one is enveloped by a hint of oriental sweetness, which has no large corners and edges and should therefore please most people.
