the Queen + Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, David Bowie and Def Leppard performance of the song "All the Young Dudes" was released on the Mick Ronson album 'Heaven and Hull'. Metallica's three-song performance was made into a UK tour edition single for "Nothing Else Matters", entitled Live at Wembley Stadium and released in Europe just one week after the concert, on 27 April 1992. Soul singer Lisa Stansfield strolled on stage with curlers in her hair and vaccum in hand (an obvious nod to the song's campy music video where the band infamously dressed in drag. Entertainment Magpie Limited t/a Music Magpie is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority FRN 775278. Like the earlier VHS release, this version excludes Extreme's "Love of My Life" and "More Than Words", Def Leppard's "Animal" and "Let's Get Rocked", performance by Spinal Tap, U2 and Mango Groove from the opening acts segment, and Plant's "Innuendo" from the Queen+ segment.

We offer great value books on a wide range of subjects and we have grown steadily to become one of the UK's leading retailers of second-hand books. After comparing it to the full screen VHS release, I found very little was masked, the DVD was framed *very* well. After having waited for years for a proper dvd release, I purchased the double VHS edition of his event, and digitalized it. In a true testament to Freddie's immense talent, every guest vocalist had to have the key of the songs changed to suit their voices as they could not replicate the range of Mercury's. The bass line begins (damn Vanilla Ice for sampling it on "Ice Ice Baby" and ruining the song for some people) and they're off and running. This is an interesting development in presenting SD material on Blu Ray but so far I have purchased 2 (the Bee Gees being the other) and have been very pleased with both. Finally, a small section is devoted to the promotion of The Mercury Phoenix Trust and Queen's official web site Queenonline. The end credits mention "Produced by Globalsoft" which was a humorous wink at the "We Will Rock You" musical. I think there was some bands which didn't want to have their songs on the DVD because they felt that they gave a bad performance. Some of them are downright embarassing for the performig artist (have a look at Extreme's rendition of "Love of my life", to name one).

The show ends with someone that Mercury would have been thrilled to hear sing one of his songs, Liza Minelli. We all like the idea of saving a bit of cash, so when we found out how many good quality used products are out there - we just had to let you know! Clearly nervous, Brian's voice breaks several times but considering the tone of the song and nature of where it's being sung, I suppose it makes it appropriate.

The profits from the concert were used to launch the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an AIDS charity organization. Between the two versions released and home recordings I'm sure it's not that difficult for someone to make a 'complete' version. Brian May decides to debut his "Too Much Love Will Kill You" (a Freddie sung version would be released in 1995 on the "Made In Heaven" album. UK crooner Paul Young (who had a big hit in America with "Everytime You Go Away") immediately follows May's song with the crowd pleasing "Radio Ga Ga".

I was there at the front and one reason this never came out in full was the first half acts who were not happy with performance / sound. Anyway, I like this SD-Blu Ray series by Eagle Rock, and I hope they'll give the same treatment to other deserving titles (there's plenty of them).Elton then begins "The Show Must Go On" by saying it's one of his favorites from the "Innuendo" album but not before thanking Queen for "working their asses off" putting the concert together. The second half of the concert featured the three remaining Queen members – John Deacon (on bass), Brian May (on guitar) and Roger Taylor (on drums) – along with guest singers and guitarists, including Elton John, Roger Daltrey (of The Who), Tony Iommi (of Black Sabbath), Ian Hunter, David Bowie, Mick Ronson, James Hetfield (of Metallica), George Michael, Seal, Paul Young, Annie Lennox, Lisa Stansfield, Robert Plant (of Led Zeppelin), Joe Elliott and Phil Collen (of Def Leppard), Axl Rose and Slash (of Guns N' Roses), Liza Minnelli, and others.
